 Building from our Sky Radio experience, Rantec Microwave Systems Inc. has taken in-flight entertainment to the next level. By developing the world's first transmit/receive Ku-band airborne antenna subsystem to provide satellite broadband data by enabling direct internet access for business or commercial aviation. Designed for mounting in the tail pod of the aircraft, Rantec's antenna is capable of providing uplink data at 10 Mbits/sec and downlink data at 512 Kbits/sec. An operational model of the antenna was displayed at the 2003 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Exhibition in Orlando Florida. Now in full-scale production, the antenna subsystem has been given high marks by current customers.
